R & D Cell

The Research & Development Cell coordinates research strategy, funding applications, and research policy across the institution.

Thrust research areas

These sit alongside the institution’s wider research interests in public health, agriculture biotechnology, bioenergy, sustainable environments and disease biology.

Functions

• Coordinating the formation of research committees and research policy.
• Training faculty on proposal writing for DBT and DST funding.
• Initiating industry interaction for collaborative research.
• Encouraging faculty and students toward research publication.
• Supporting patent filing and IPR awareness programmes.
• Developing Centres of Excellence in key research areas.
